PROPOSED ITINERARY

Naimisharanya Pilgrimage 2 nights, 3 days.

Lucknow to Naimisharanya on the Gomti, two nights beside the shrines, and back to Lucknow

Tradition places the gathering of the sages at Naimisharanya, on the Gomti in Sitapur district, where the Puranas were recited. Pilgrims come to bathe at Chakra Tirth, to sit at Vyas Gaddi and to visit the Lalita Devi temple. This journey stays two nights beside the shrines, so the first evening's snan and the full temple day are unhurried, and it ends with morning prayers, the drive back to Lucknow and a brief heritage tour before you leave.

WHERE YOU STAY
  1. 2NNaimisharanya
AT A GLANCE

Who it suits, and how it moves.

Devotees who know Naimisharanya from the Puranas, families who want time at the sacred tank and shrines rather than a rushed day trip, and guests adding a quiet pilgrimage to a Lucknow or Ayodhya journey.

Proposed duration
2 nights · 3 days. 2N/3D with both nights at Naimisharanya. Luxury guests can stay in Lucknow instead, with a day chauffeur for the drives. It can also be added to a Lucknow or Ayodhya journey.
Travel style
Private journey with two nights beside the shrines, one full temple day at an easy pace, and a short Lucknow heritage tour on the way home.
Arrive
Lucknow: Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport or Lucknow Charbagh railway station.
Depart
Lucknow airport or railway station. Naimisharanya is about 95 to 110 km from Lucknow by road.

Naimisharanya is about two and a half hours from Lucknow, so an arrival by early afternoon keeps the evening snan at Chakra Tirth; a later arrival moves it to Day 2. On Day 3 the drive back and the heritage tour suit a departure from late afternoon.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

Where do we stay at Naimisharanya?

Accommodation in the town is mostly ashram guest houses and a few simple hotels and resorts. Standard uses a clean ashram guest house or 3-star hotel, Premium a boutique resort or the best available property, and Luxury the best available premium property, each named and described in your quotation.

Can we stay in Lucknow instead?

Yes. Luxury offers a luxury hotel in Lucknow with a day chauffeur, and any tier can be planned that way on request. It means about two and a half hours on the road each way, so the evening snan on Day 1 may move to the morning of Day 2.

Is a puja included?

Premium includes a short puja at Chakra Tirth with a local resident pandit, and Luxury adds a private Rudrabhishek. In Standard a priest can be arranged on request. Dakshina and materials are always stated in your quotation.

Can Naimisharanya be added to an Ayodhya journey?

Yes. Lucknow is the main gateway for both. Tell us when you enquire and the route and duration are reviewed together.

Availability and cancellation. Hotels, vehicles, boats, guides and temple arrangements are confirmed when we prepare your quotation, and they depend on dates, weather, river levels and the rules of each site. Cancellation terms follow the suppliers in your journey and are set out in the quotation. Booking terms

This is a request for a personalised quotation, not a booking. No payment is required to send your preferences.
