Many journeys include a boat ride on the Ganga, and the journey page shows exactly which one: shared or private, dawn or evening. If you want something different, choose a replacement here. A private boat for the same session takes the place of the shared ride, so you are never charged for two boats when you sit in one. Our team works out any price difference and shows it in your quotation.
The categories we work with are a shared scheduled ride, a private traditional rowing boat, a private motorboat and, where one is actually operating, a covered or seated cruise vessel. Rowing boats are quiet and slow, lovely at dawn along the ghats; motorboats cover the whole riverfront in less time; covered vessels give shade and proper seats for older guests. Cruise tickets are seats on a scheduled sailing, not a private charter.
If your journey has no boat, the same choices appear as Add a Boat Ride, and an extra outing on top of an included one is labelled Additional session. Boarding usually means steps down the ghat and a step into the boat, and every outing depends on river level, weather and local restrictions on the day.

- Only boats with a confirmed operator, capacity and boarding point are offered.
- Live music and guiding are separate experiences, not boat categories.
- River outings depend on water level, weather and local restrictions on the day.
Added items are requests. If something is already part of your journey and tier it shows as included and is never charged twice.
