Many Varanasi hotels and guesthouses near the ghats sit inside lanes too narrow for cars, so the last few hundred metres are on foot, sometimes down steps. Railway platforms can mean long walks and footbridges. A porter turns all of that into a simple handover.
At railway stations we arrange a licensed railway porter or a team member to meet you; at lane-side hotels we coordinate with the hotel's own staff or a local carrier. Tell us how many bags you have and roughly how heavy they are, so enough help is there.
Keep passports, cash, medicines and anything precious in a small bag that stays with you. Porter charges are confirmed in your quotation.
