Breakfast tastes different on the water. After the first rush of sunrise, this private boat slows along the ghats while breakfast is served on board, so you can watch the riverfront settle into its day with a cup of chai in hand.
The arrangements are specific. The boat, its seating and the number of guests it can carry are confirmed in advance, and the breakfast is prepared ashore by a named kitchen and brought on board, not cooked on the boat unless that is expressly arranged. The menu is agreed beforehand and can be Banarasi, simply vegetarian or a light continental spread, with dietary needs planned for.
A boat makes a small dining room, so the menu is kept simple and easy to eat on the move. This programme replaces the boat session it is mapped to in your journey. Boating depends on the water level and local orders, and if the boat cannot run we tell you as early as possible.

- A slow passage along the ghats while you eat.
- A guide or host on board, if included in your quotation.
- Return to the boarding ghat or a nearby landing.
GOOD TO KNOW
Before you go.
- Walking: steep, uneven steps lead to the boat, and boarding means stepping across from the bank.
- Timing: about one and a half to two hours in the early morning. Exact times are confirmed in your quotation.
- Diet: menus are agreed in advance. Tell us about allergies and preferences when you book.
- Access: the number of guests depends on the boat confirmed. Boating may be suspended at high water or in fog.
