ExcursionsSarnath with a Specialist Guide
A visit to Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first teaching, with a specialist guide to the stupas, ruins and museum, and transport and entry listed separately.
A hosted visit to a village near Varanasi, with access agreed by the community, a local host and a programme designed to be respectful and responsible.

A short drive from the ghats, the city gives way to fields of wheat, mustard and rice, mango orchards and villages where farming, weaving and dairy follow the seasons. This visit offers a glimpse of that rural life, with a host from the community who can explain it from the inside.
The programme is agreed in advance with the village and your host, and might include a walk through the fields, a visit to a farm or a craft household, tea with a family and conversation about daily life, festivals and the changes the village has seen. What you see depends on the season: sowing, harvest, festival preparations or the quieter months between.
The visit is designed to be responsible. Groups are small, homes are entered only by invitation, photographs are taken only with consent, and gifts or money are not handed out to children. Any contribution to the community is arranged openly through the host and set out in your quotation.

Added items are requests. If something is already part of your journey and tier it shows as included and is never charged twice.
